Press Release: Medway Fire Department Ambulance Involved in Accident - April 30, 2024

Medway, MA - At approximately 12:12 pm on April 30, 2024, Medway Fire Department Ambulance 2 was involved in a motor vehicle accident while en route with a patient to Milford Regional Medical Center. The accident occurred in the vicinity of 291 Main Street in Milford, a short distance from the hospital. Milford Fire, Milford Police, and Community EMS responded to the scene. Three patients were transported by ambulance from the scene by Community EMS, including the original Medway patient, the operator of the second motor vehicle, and a Medway Firefighter/Paramedic who was in the patient area of the ambulance at the time of the accident. The Firefighter/EMT driver of the ambulance was also brought to Milford Regional Medical Center a short time later. The nature of the injuries was non-life threatening.

We wish to thank the emergency personnel from Milford Fire, Milford Police, and Community EMS for their quick response and outstanding care for our original patient and Medway personnel on the scene. Medway Ambulance 2 sustained significant damage and is out of service at this time. The Milford Police Department is investigating the accident.
